Re: New blood, questions regarding servers

Sunday afternoons (Eastern US time) are popular because you get some American players online and many European players online (it's their Sunday evening time). The other thing you could try is to contact one of the clans that visit this forum and ask them about matches and games. Many of the larger ...

Re: 2.4 Update

It has to do with the way the scoring impacts the awards. They're easy enough to tweak for the next version, based on player feedback in 2.4.

Re: Game Help

It sounds like a team practice or closed match. Check with the team's leader to see if they will give you the PW. 12th and 29th seem to be the most active of the groups for closed matches/practices.

Re: 2.4 Update

Sounds good to me, main issue to keep in mind is that the game needs an update badly. People will play BG2 more but only if there's new content around, only so many times you can play the same things over and over. This is entirely true. It gets old. 2.4 will fix a number of issues and add some new...

Re: 2.4 Update

Yes, this took longer than planned. However, we moved from trying a simple hot fix to instead issuing a game update. 2.4 will include more than a simple hot fix, hence it was slower to build. We recently finished testing the round summary/awards function. This is just an example of 2.4 turning out m...

Re: Line Battle Rules Discussion

(Just nosing in as a coder - this crash is an interesting phenomenon I've not heard of before, but it's clearly a real concern - the way the bullets are simulated they cannot collide, there is simply no scope for that in the code, so don't worry in that regard - what may instead be happening is som...

Re: Helping the Amreican Server

We're getting closer to release of a hot fix (2.4) for some issues in the current version. I won't say how long, but getting closer. Are there sites in particular you are seeing that we should update?

Re: Article on Musket Range

An interesting article. I was particularly interested in the design of forts it comments on. Star fort design makes a lot more sense now. I stopped playing NW in part because of its ridiculously poor musket accuracy to the point where the musket is barely even worth having at all. Indeed linebattle...
