Re: Running the mod is a pain in the butt

We have someone working on a full installer, to replace the current system for installing the game. You are not the first person to complain. This method of installation was the norm for many years, but is out-of-date now. Did you check to make sure the mod files went into the correct folder?

Re: New Fan-Made BG2 Trailer

I think a community push with videos and screen shots to accompany any update is a good place to start. Blog posts help, but people really want to see videos and screen shots of the game being played. The Robert Stoneman video from a few years back was helpful, and pretty well done.

Re: Missing executable?

It's good to hear that it's working now. We're working on a small fix for 2.3, then onto 3.0. The plan is to try to get 3.0 on Steam.

Re: Missing executable?

You mean you are looking for an executable in the stuff you downloaded so you can install the game, or have you installed the game and are looking for an exe in what you installed? 2.2 should be an executable installer: http://www.moddb.com/mods/battle-grounds-2/downloads/battle-grounds-2-22-full-in...

Re: Patch 2.3 download and installation support

The pink/black checkered business is from missing map materials. When you said you unpacked the 2.3 patch into Source Mods, were you sure that the patch's materials ended up in the BG folder ultimately and not in another folder or in Source Mods itself? The procedure you described sounds right, but ...
